What is WAN?

A wide area network (WAN) is a geographically dispersed
telecommunications network. The term distinguishes a broader
telecommunication structure from a local area network.

WAN IP
is just like our telephone numbers but it exists only on
the internet.
If you want remote
access or remote control on your computer, you
must first, know your destination IP address.
You may equate it to first having the phone number of the person
that you want to call on the phone.
